B2B ads that earn their place on Reddit.

Reddit keeps its own library of example ads. We took every B2B tech ad in it, 533 from 527 advertisers, and scored each one. The bar on Reddit is low, so the ads that stand out are worth studying.

What 533 B2B Reddit ads tell us

  1. 533B2B tech ads from Reddit's own Ad Inspiration Library, the ads Reddit chose to show advertisers as examples.

  2. 70%of them come from advertisers in Reddit's lowest budget tier. Most B2B advertisers on Reddit are small teams testing the channel, so the bar is low and a well-made ad stands out.

  3. 4.4out of 10 was the average score for ads from Reddit's high-budget advertisers, against 3.9 for low-budget ones.

  4. 36%of the ads optimise for conversions and 61% for clicks. Few B2B advertisers buy Reddit for reach alone.

  5. 4.2out of 10 was the average for creatives that lead with a specific number, against 3.9 for ones that don't.

paperflite.com:
paperflite.comImage

Ad headline

Switch to interactive content formats that buyers actually engage with and you can measure.

Why it works

A gravestone for an ebook nobody read. It names a pain every content marketer knows and makes it funny, which suits Reddit, where a joke earns more attention than a pitch.

What stands out

Hand-drawn and warm, so it looks like a post, and the line under the brand does the selling.

quantcast.com:
quantcast.comImage

Ad headline

Future-Proof Your Marketing – Quantcast's Study Shows How to Stay Ahead in the Cookieless World 🚀

Why it works

A Forrester study made into an object, with two results on the page, 44% more conversions and 50% less time. Third-party proof does the convincing on a sceptical channel.

What stands out

The report cover and the numbers share one frame, so the claim and its source arrive together.

venasolutions.com:
venasolutions.comImage

Ad headline

Who changed that budget number? With audit trails in Vena, you'll always know. And you can roll back with version control.

Why it works

A spreadsheet cell changing from $5,300 to $5,900 with the name and time of who changed it. Any finance lead has asked who touched the budget, and this answers it in one picture.

What stands out

Real-looking UI with exact numbers and a timestamp, the brand in the corner and one green button.

scanner.dev:
scanner.devImage

Ad headline

Easy search, not painful SQL. Index & search Petabyte-size log data sets at speeds of 1TB/sec. 100x faster than Athena, 10 times cheaper than traditional SIEMs like Splunk and Datadog, 12 months retention.

Why it works

A price table that puts the product next to Splunk and Datadog at three data sizes. Engineers on Reddit want numbers they can check, and this gives them the whole comparison.

What stands out

Nothing but the table and a short offer line underneath. The numbers are the creative.

acante.ai:
acante.aiImage

Ad headline

Report: ESG explores security and access governance challenges across the modern data stack - Non-gated download

Why it works

One research finding as the headline, 46% of organisations rank security as their top data platform challenge. It leads with what the buyer will learn, before any mention of the product.

What stands out

The big number sits over a chart background, with the research firm's name at the top for credibility.

ptc.com:
ptc.comImage

Ad headline

Implementing Creo Simulation Live revolutionized the way that quick simulation needs are handled at Club Car. Design engineers are given the tools to perform their own early-stage simulation that in turn reduce errors and shorten the development process. See how Club Car uses CSL:

Why it works

A named customer and its product in the frame. A Club Car golf cart designed with Creo makes simulation software concrete for an engineering audience.

What stands out

Bold, stacked type beside a real product photo, built for a fast scroll.

solcast.com:
solcast.comImage

Ad headline

Monitor how clouds and the eclipse will impact solar across the country with Solcast's interactive map! With our fast, reliable API, you can enjoy real-time updates. Check it now.

Why it works

A timely data story, the eclipse's effect on solar output across the country. It is useful on its own, so people read it as content first and an ad second.

What stands out

The forecast map is the product, shown doing its job.

lumigo.io:
lumigo.ioImage

Ad headline

Lumigo traces through every micro and managed service like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis providing you with the context needed to troubleshoot fast.

Why it works

A clear job in four words, troubleshoot AWS Lambda, then the product's trace view underneath. Developers can tell in a glance whether it is for them.

What stands out

A free account as the offer, which fits a developer audience better than a demo.

semanticdiff.com:
semanticdiff.comImage

Ad headline

Refactored code slows down your reviews? Try the SemanticDiff GitHub App. The language aware diff hides irrelevant changes from pull requests and helps you understand refactorings.

Why it works

A whiteboard sketch of a confused code review, with the questions every reviewer has asked. It speaks the reader's language before it names the product.

What stands out

Drawn by hand, so it reads like something an engineer would post, and the CTA is drawn as a button.

sandboxaq.com:
sandboxaq.comCarousel

Ad headline

“The need for GPS alternatives is critical.”—Major Patrick Morgan. AQNav’s unjammable, unspoofable, day/night, all-weather, terrain agnostic, and passive technology ensure safe navigation in all conditions.

Why it works

One striking number, 30,000 aircraft affected by GPS spoofing in a month. The scale of the problem sells the product before it is named.

What stands out

Bold yellow type on black with the source credited at the bottom.

junglytics.com:
junglytics.comImage

Ad headline

It's like an AMA with your Amazon store

Why it works

A chat between a seller and the product's assistant, with a chart in the reply. It shows the product answering a real question in the way the user would ask it.

What stands out

A desk photo with the conversation laid over it, so it feels like a moment, not a feature list.

zendesk.com:
zendesk.comImage

Ad headline

Automatically merge duplicate tickets in Zendesk and save up to 10% of your team's time.

Why it works

A real support ticket view showing duplicates merged automatically. Support agents recognise the screen at once, and the copy puts a number on the saving.

What stands out

The product screen sits on a bold red circle that stops the scroll without hiding the UI.

The patterns behind them

The same repeatable formats we found on LinkedIn, with examples from Reddit. Each comes with a recipe for the image, headline, copy and CTA.

  • Write like a person in the thread. Reddit readers skip anything that sounds like a brochure.
  • Lead with something useful, a number, a comparison or a finding, before you name the product.
  • Show the product doing its job. A real screen beats a claim.
  • Treat each pattern as a test. Run it against your current best ad for 2 to 3 weeks and judge it on the campaign’s own metric.
1

Product UI with real numbers

One crisp product screen or alert, cropped large, showing a believable moment with exact figures. Specific numbers read as measured fact, so the UI is the proof.

  • ImageCrop one real product view or alert big. Exact non-round figures, a timestamp, one red or green signal, logo inside the frame.
  • HeadlineName the moment the screen shows, in under eight words. Example 'Velocity looks fine. Profitability doesn't.'
  • CopyOne line on the situation the buyer is in, one line on what the product does about it, one proof number.
  • CTASee it on your data or See a live demo.
venasolutions.com examplesolcast.com examplelumigo.io example
2

Familiar artifact, rewritten

Recreate a document the buyer handles every week (invoice, renewal dialog, calendar invite, job post, inbox) and change one line so it makes the argument. Variant. Third-button invite or symptom checklist. Every line must be a task the controller or engineer really does.

  • ImageRebuild a real artifact faithfully in native fonts and layout. Change only the line that carries the point. Logo inside the artifact.
  • HeadlineA short line that names the trap in the artifact. Example 'Your renewal has two buttons. Neither is no.'
  • CopyTwo sentences. What the artifact costs them today, and how the product removes it. Add a source for any statistic.
  • CTASee how it works or Get the breakdown.
zendesk.com example
3

Overheard message thread

A Slack, iMessage or AI chat screen where buyers voice the pain in their own words, so the reader recognises their own week.

  • ImageNative chat UI, 3-5 short messages, roles as names, timestamps. Brand named once inside the thread. No blurred vendor names.
  • HeadlineName the problem in the buyer's words from the thread. Example: 'I am assuming you have backups.'
  • CopyName the situation in one line, then the product and one proof point. Keep it as casual as the thread.
  • CTASee how teams fix this or Book a demo.
junglytics.com example
4

Named customer as hero

Let a known customer carry the ad. Their product, their exec or their numbers fill the frame, and your brand sits small.

  • ImageReal photo of the customer's product or exec, or 3 outcome lines with their logo. Your logo clearly visible beside theirs.
  • Headline'[Customer] builds with [you]' or the exec's own quote. Pick a customer the reader sees as a peer.
  • CopyWhat the customer faced, what changed, one number, a link to the full story.
  • CTARead the story.
ptc.com example
5

Report made physical

Show the report or guide as a real printed object (open spread or editorial cover) with one finding visible, so the content looks worth reading.

  • ImagePhotoreal printed report on a real surface, or an open spread with one highlighted finding. For document ads, an art-directed photo cover.
  • HeadlineThe most useful finding, or a title tied to a job the buyer does now (budget season, board review).
  • CopyWho the report is for, what it covers, one finding, and how long it takes to read.
  • CTADownload the guide or Read the report.
quantcast.com example
6

Editorial data page

Original data laid out like a newspaper page, chart or reference table, so the ad is something worth saving and quoting.

  • ImageOne real chart or newspaper-style layout. Serif headline, at most three stats, small comparison bars. Cite the source and sample size.
  • HeadlineThe trend as a plain statement. Example '"AI" is entering job titles, and tech is driving it.'
  • CopyWhere the data comes from (sample size, period) and the one takeaway for the reader's job.
  • CTAGet the full data.
scanner.dev exampleacante.ai example
7

Typographic sting

Pure type with a setup and a jab, sometimes with a type trick (word search, italic word) doing the visual work.

  • ImageType only on a flat colour, or a simple type device (hidden word in a grid). One accent colour for the sting.
  • HeadlineSetup line, then a sting about what the best do. Example 'Your infrastructure has rules. Your AI has vibes.'
  • CopyExplain the stat in one line and say what the product changes. Keep it calm.
  • CTASee where you stand or Read the report.
sandboxaq.com example
8

Hand-made illustration twist

A distinctive illustration style (crayon, letterpress card, botanical, isometric) that carries a light idea and sets the brand apart from SaaS gradients.

  • ImageCommission one hand-drawn style. Child's crayon, letterpress greeting card, botanical tangle or isometric machine. Keep it on brand colours.
  • HeadlineA warm or wry line that fits the format. Example 'Thinking of you while you're stuck moving data.'
  • CopyName the problem plainly and the product's answer. Let the image carry the tone.
  • CTASee how it works or Read more.

What to leave out

  • Creative with no brand in the frame. Averaged 3.5 out of 10, against 4.1 when the brand is visible. People scroll past an ad that doesn't say who it is from.

How we built it

Every ad comes from Reddit's Ad Inspiration Library, a set of example ads Reddit publishes for advertisers, tagged by industry. We took every ad tagged B2B tech.

Each ad went to Jev, an AI model built to judge creative, with its image, headline and copy. Jev scored it out of 10, up to 5 for how well it would land with a senior B2B buyer and up to 5 for craft, and tagged its hook, visual style and pattern. The scores judge the creative, so test against your own numbers.

Reddit names each advertiser by its Reddit account, so the library labels ads by the website they link to.

Every ad belongs to the company that ran it. Use them for ideas and make your own creative.

Common questions

Does B2B advertising work on Reddit?

It can, for products technical buyers research on their own. Most B2B advertisers on Reddit are small teams on its lowest budget tier, so a clear, well-made ad has little competition. Reddit readers reward ads that sound like a useful post and punish ones that sound like a brochure.

What makes a good B2B ad on Reddit?

Something useful up front, a number, a price comparison, a finding or a real product screen, written in the plain voice of the subreddit. The best ads in this library read like posts first and ads second.

Where do these ads come from?
